29 · The dashboard, per restaurant
Everything on this page is about one thing: an owner who runs more than one restaurant should never have to guess which one they are looking at, and no number on the screen should be a guess.
Which restaurant am I looking at?
The name at the top of Overview is the restaurant every figure below belongs to. If your login runs more than one restaurant, a Showing selector sits next to that name — pick another one and the whole dashboard (overview, bookings, offers, delivery orders, profile, tables, reports) switches with it. The choice is remembered on this device, so a reload comes back to the same restaurant.
Before this, the dashboard always answered with whichever of your restaurants was linked first. Two restaurants showed the same table count and the same bookings, which is not a display problem — it was the wrong restaurant's data.
Tables count. The chip next to the name reads 4 of 6 tables active, counted from that
restaurant's own table rows, and it opens Table Management — the page where you add tables or
switch one off. The number is only ever about the restaurant you are looking at.
The six numbers
The cards across the top answer, in order:
| Card | What it is | How it is counted |
|---|---|---|
| Revenue (before discount) | The money the room did | Sum of the gross bill on completed visits, before any coupon |
| Reservations | How full the book is | Every booking in the selected period, whatever its status |
| Delivery orders | The online side | Orders received in the period, with their total value |
| Guests served | Covers | Guests on completed visits only |
| Discount given | What coupons cost you | Sum of the discount on completed visits |
| Completion rate | How much of the book turned up | Completed ÷ all reservations |
Each card has a View more link that repeats its definition, so a number can always be checked against how it was counted. Revenue minus discount is what the room collected.
Figures refresh every 60 seconds while the page is open, and the line above the cards says when they were last read. Dates are Indian dates (Asia/Kolkata) — "today" ends at midnight in Kolkata, not at 5:30 in the morning.
Most used offers
Below the charts, Most used offers ranks the coupons that actually ran in the selected period, by how many bookings each one was used on, with the rupees it gave away beside it. Ranked by use rather than by value on purpose: the question a coupon has to answer is whether anybody used it. An offer you have since deleted still appears under the code it ran on, so the report does not lose history.
Today's queue, and who is on it
The queue shows the name on the account that booked, not "Guest booking". A table booked by a signed-in customer is a named booking; only a booking made without an account shows the name that was typed at the desk. The same name is used in the CSV export and on the verification desk.
Reading your reviews
Reviews (sidebar) lists every review your restaurant has received — including any that moderation took off the public page, marked as such. Filters: by star rating, and by whether the review is currently visible. Nothing on that page can be edited or deleted; an owner's answer to a bad review is a better dinner, not a quieter dashboard. The star distribution at the top always describes the whole set, not just the page you are reading.
Offers that have finished
An offer has two independent things going on: your switch, and its dates. The list now says which state each one is really in:
- Active — switched on and inside its dates today
- Starts 20 Oct — switched on, window not open yet
- Expired 15 Sep — switched on, but the window closed
- Switched off — you turned it off; no date will bring it back
- Dates need fixing — it ends before it starts
Dates are read as whole Indian days, so an offer "up to 20 Oct" is live until the last minute of 20 Oct. The customer side reads the same answer, which is why a coupon never disappears from a customer's list at 5:30 in the morning on its last day.
